A reporter on deadline needs a dentist, a rehab clinic director or a meteorologist who will answer today. Journo.com is where they ask. The request goes out to experts whose background fits the story, and replies arrive by email, usually within hours.
Three groups on one platform
Journalists fill in a single form: the story topic, what they need, their publication and a deadline. The platform works out the categories on its own and uses them to decide which experts see the request. It costs the journalist nothing.
Experts sign up with a name, an email address and a LinkedIn URL. Their profile is read to establish what they know, so the requests they receive match their field. Twenty replies a month are free, and they hear back when a quote is published.
PR agencies run up to 300 clients from one account, each with several spokespeople, and pitch quotes on their behalf. They can also post requests of their own when a campaign needs an outside voice.
Keeping AI-written answers out
A quote request is only worth sending if a person writes the answer. Each response is checked through several layers of AI detection before it is passed on, and each expert has their identity verified first.
The homepage shows this working. Move the sensitivity slider, press Simulate Responses, and sample replies are approved or stamped as rejected in front of you.
Tools for the agency side
News Explorer holds four years of news coverage. An agency can search it by keyword, industry or brand, see what journalists wrote about in the same week last year, and chart the daily article count for any topic.
The press release writer turns a client quote, or a few cells pasted from a spreadsheet, into a full first draft in under 30 seconds. A research step built for the platform adds current facts to the draft.
Where the quotes have appeared
The site shows expert commentary placed in the New York Post, the Daily Mail, Fox News, the Express, Time Out and The Independent.
When it was built
Codekbyte started work at the end of 2024. The design, the application and the AI features took more than six months to build before Journo.com went live, and it has been running since.
What we built
Codekbyte designed and built the whole product: the interface, the application behind it and the AI features. The details below describe the product as it runs today. The services page covers the kinds of work involved.
Quote requests in one form
A journalist enters the story topic, the details, their publication and a deadline from 24 hours to two weeks. The platform assigns the categories itself and sends the request to hundreds of matching experts.
AI-written replies filtered out
Every response passes several layers of AI detection, and every expert is identity checked, so journalists only receive answers a person wrote. The homepage runs a live demo of the filter with an adjustable sensitivity slider.
Expert matching from a LinkedIn profile
Experts register with a name, an email address and a LinkedIn URL. The platform reads the profile to work out their field and sends them only the requests that fit it.
Agency accounts for up to 300 clients
A PR agency keeps all its clients in one place, adds several spokespeople to each, and pitches quotes on their behalf from a single dashboard.
News Explorer
A searchable archive of four years of news coverage. Agencies search by keyword, industry or brand, see monthly and weekly trends, and chart how many articles ran on a topic each day.
Press release drafts in under 30 seconds
Pick a client quote or paste cells from a spreadsheet and the writer returns a full first draft, backed by the platform's own research step that pulls in current facts.
Alerts and deadline tracking
Agencies are notified the moment a journalist request matches a client, and a dashboard orders open requests by deadline.
